DEATH OF MRS. SARAH ANDREWS
Former Mt. Pleasant Woman Passes Away in California

Word has been received in the city by relatives of the death of Mrs. Sarah Andrews, December 29th, at the home of her daughter, Annie Johnson at Cavena, California. Mrs. Andrews came to Iowa when an infant with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Collin Forbes, pioneers and lived on a farm southeast of Mt. Pleasant. She was married to Hiram Andrews, who was then manager of the “The Farmers’ or Grange” store on the south side. She died at the ripe old age of eighty – three. She was the sister of Mrs. Angelina Palmer of this city. All of her children are living in California and Mrs. Emma Swartout, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Ammie Johnson of Cavena and Mrs. Mattie Guy of Berkeley and Mrs. Rose Fanning of Calexico.
