Monday, Sept. 9, 1974Former Local Resident Dies
Mrs. Nona Jones Nava, 46, former Fairfield resident, died Sunday at the home of her daughter in El Paso, Tex., following a lengthy illness.
Services and burial will be Tuesday in El Paso.
Mrs. Nava was born April 19, 1928 in Fairfield, the daughter of Harry C. and Ruth Simpson Jones. She was a graduate of the local high school and Ottumwa Business College.
On May 30, 1949, she was married to Hilario V. Nava. For the past 15 years, she has been employed as a nurse at Thomason General Hospital in El Paso.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Valdivia and Mrs. Elena Marques; two grandchildren; all of El Paso; and one sister, Mrs. Betty Harlan, Mount Pleasant.
Her parents, one sister and her stepfather, Charles H. Ross, preceded her in death.
