DEATH OF JOHN J. COLE.
Rev. W.R. Cole has received word of the death of his youngest brother, John J. Cole, of St. Louis, who passed away Sunday evening. He had been sick for some time, death being the result of Bright's disease.
Mr. Cole was about 68 years of age. He was in business here a number of years ago, when the Cole Lightning Rod company was located here, and was still president of that company, which now has headquarters in St. Louis, at the time of his death. He leaves just the one son, Mr. John G. Cole, who with his family lived with his father. The deceased will be remembered by many of the older residents of Mt. Pleasant.
Rev. W.R. Cole will leave in the morning for St. Louis to attend the funeral, and will be accompanied from here by his son-in-law, Mr. Elbert Smith, of Chicago.
