Winfield Beacon July 10, 1924.

Diantha Withington was born in Washington County,
Ohio, May 6, 1834, and died at her home in Winfield, Iowa, Saturday night, July 6, 1924, at
eleven-twenty 0'clock aged ninety years and two
months.

In 1857 she was united in marriage to George
Skipton. To this union were born four children,
Willis Dana, Lewis Osmer, and Mrs. T.H. Martin of
Winfield, and Mrs. B.M. Stollar of Fremont, Mich.
After the birth of her children she with her
husband and family moved to Iowa in the year 1888,
locating one mile south of Winfield, and the next
Spring moved to their present country home about
four and one half miles northeast of Winfield,
where they continued to reside until the Fall of
1919, at which time the family moved to Winfield
where they have since resided, and where on October 8, 1931, Mr. Skipton died.

For the past six years she has been an invalid,
being deprived of the blessing of sight.

Funeral services were held at the late home on
Monday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, the
Rev T.C. Kennedy. Interment in Winfield Cemetery.
