Rites For S. McGuire

Last rites for Sara Ann McGuire, 89, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. McGuire, 206 N. Fourth St., died Monday at Parkview Care Center. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGuire was born April 29, 1885 in Flint, Mich., the daughter of Stephen and Sarah Ocker O'Brien. Most of her life was spent in Fairfield. She was a graduate of the local high school and served as a teacher here for several years.

She was married to Lawrence S. McGuire Aug. 16, 1918. He died in March, 1971. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and rosary Society.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mary Freiburg, Nevada, Mo., and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Rollin Howard, Fairfield. Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
