DEATH OF MISS ADA BROWN.

Expires in a Burlington Hospital After a Surgical Operation.

The death of Ada Brown of La Hoyt, who was taken to Burlington for treatment, occurred this morning at 2:00 o'clock. The body arrived in the city this morning at 7 o'clock and was taken to La Hoyt where the funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock. The little girl has always had delicate health and last week was taken to a Burlington hospital for treatment. She was thirteen years of age and was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Welch Brown of near La Hoyt. The interment will be at Richwoods and Rev. J.C. Barton will officiate.

GONE TO REST.

Ada Lydona Brown was born March 2, 1888. Died at a Burlington hospital June 19, 1901, at the age of 13 years, 3 months, 17 years [sic: days].

Ada was the only daughter of Mrs. Mary Welch Brown, and they had made their home with Mrs. Brown's mother, Mrs. Phebe Welch, since the death of Mr. Elam Brown, which occurred July 3, 1893.
