Dale W. Lyons

Dale W. Lyons, 87, formerly of Route 2, died at 8:38 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at Mapleleaf Healthcare Center in Mount Pleasant.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Open visitation begins Friday morning at Behner Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 that night. A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.

Lyons was born Oct. 16, 19??, in Eldon, the son of Albert E. and Amanda Leeper Lyons. He married Sarah L. Cornell on Jan. 30, 19??, in Fairfield. She died March ??, 1992. He has farmed all his life and had worked at Dexter Co. for ?? years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Thelma Duker of Las Vegas, B??? Gray of Fairfield; a son, Bill of Fairfield; 26 grandchildren; ?? great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mar?? Shafer of Omaha, Neb. A ?? Richard, a sister, Gladys Lynn and a brother, Robert, preceeded him in death.
