Memorial Rites Set

Word was received here Monday of the death of Mrs. Roy R. Dressen, 68, who died at her home in Chicago following an illness of two years.

Funeral services and interment will take place in Chicago, Thursday, April 25. A memorial service will be held in Fairfield at the Raymond Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28.

Hazel Elizabeth Leu Dressen was born Aug. 27, 1905, in Henry County, the daughter of Chris O. and Mertie Cecelia Jannings Leu.

She attended school in Jefferson County and graduated from the Fairfield High School with the Class of 1924.

Following graduation she taught in Jefferson and Henry County schools for more than ten years. Laater she was employed as a buyer for the Marshall Field Store in Chicago for many years.

She was married Feb. 6, 1950, to Roy R. Dressen, Chicago. He died July 4, 1972.

Mrs. Dressen is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ruhl, Santa Barbara, Calif.; John J. Leu, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Edison H. Leu, Mount Pleasant; Clifford Leu, Walker; Harvey Leu, Danville; and Roy G. Leu, Fairfield; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dressen was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a niece.
