CON O'GRADY, 86, DIES AT ROME

Con O'Grady passed away at his home in Rome Saturday evening at 11:30 o'clock. He had been bedfast for the past year. Mr. O'Grady, who was 86 on February 8 of this year, had lived his entire life in and around Lockridge and Rome, and for the past 8 years had lived in Rome. On December 31, 1884, he was married to Minnie Douglas, and to this union were born eight children: Nellie Messer of Rome, Bertha Arnold of Mt. Pleasant, Mollie Fensterer of California, John O'Grady of Ottumwa, Frank O'Grady of the Soldiers' Home at Marshalltown, James O'Grady of Des Moines, Lillie Beingeffer of Florida, and Marguerite Hill of Burlington.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, at 2:00 o'clock at Rome. Burial will be in the Grant cemetery. The body will remain at the Cookes Funeral Home until funeral time.
