A special to THE GAZETTE conveys the sad intelligence of the death of Mrs. Peter Hanaphy, the venerable mother of Conductor P.W. Hanaphy and Dr. Frank Hanaphy of this city, which occurred at her home, two miles south of Mt. Pleasant, at half-past three o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was born in King county, Ireland, seventy years ago.
The funeral of Mrs. Hanaphy takes place at Mt. Pleasant tomorrow morning at 9:30, and the relatives from Burlington will leave for that point this evening. Her sons here have the sympathy of their many friends in this sad hour of affliction.
