OBITUARY OF MRS. COSTELLO.

DIED --at Mt. Pleasant, Ia., Mrs. Mary Costello, Dec. 8, 1893, aged 79 years, 11 months and 22 days.

Mary [sic] Stock, daughter of Micheal Stock, was born in Kerry Co., Ireland, [sic] Feb., 25, 1814. She left Kerry Co and went to Connecticut, where she lived three years, and from there she came to Iowa, where, for thirty years, she has been a resident, twenty-three of which were spent in Jackson township, the remainder in Center township. She leaves four daughters and one son, besides three sisters, also many friends to mourn her loss. She was a hard working woman, a citizen well known, indeed one of the pioneers. The funeral took place at the Catholic church, the Rev. J.J. Bassler preached the sermon. the pall bearers were, Thos. O'Connor, Charles O'Connor Sr., Charles O'Connor Jr.., Micheal O'Hearn, Patrick O'Connor and Danial Bresnehan.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A Place is vacant in our home,
We bow to God's good will.
God in his wisdom has recalled
The boon his love has given,
And though the body moulders here
The soul is safe in heaven.
