Henrietta Mabel Henessee, 77, of New London, died at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 1995, at her home.
Born April 27, 1918, in Morehead, Minn., she was the daughter of Henry and Mabel Iverson Lee. She first married Delbert Flayharty, who preceded her in death. She married Virgil Simmons an Jan. 17, 1946 in Kansas City, Mo. She later married Merle Henessee, who died April 11, 1980.
Mrs. Hennessee attended Morehead High School. She worked at the Mental Health Institute in Mt. Pleasant for 15 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of New London, the Unity Circle and the New London Birthday Club.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Simmons of New London; three daughters, Connie Tarrence of New London, Joan Lance of Mount Pleasant, and Carol Bunkley of Destin, Fla; one stepson, Wayne Henesse of New London; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at Elliot Chapel, New London, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Henessee will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Elliot Chapel, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the Burge Cemetery, New London.
