Solomon G. Erickson

Mt. Pleasaant--Solomon G. Erickson, 74, of Swedesburg, died Feb. 24. He was the son of Anders and Joann Lilja Erickson, and was born in Henry County, east of Swedesburg, on Jan. 1, 1878. He operated a farm 7 miles north of Mt. Pleasant until 25 years ago, when ill health forced him to retire.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Margaret Erickson, and 3 sons: Donald Erickson, Davenport, and Carl and Harlan Erickson, both of Swedesburg.

Also surviving are 3 brothers and 2 sisters: George Erickson, Swedesburg; Charles Erickson, Larimore, N. Dak.; and Joseph Erickson, Rush City, Minn.; Mrs. Mary Conover, Des Moines, and Mrs. Anna Carnahan, of Mt. Pleasant.

The Rev. Everett Becall, pastor of the Swedesburg Lutheran church will conduct last rites at the Crane funeral home at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be in the Swedesburg cemetery.
