Virgil Litton
MT. PLEASANT - SF 1. C Virgil Thomas Litton, 45, a career Navy man, died Sunday after suffering a heart attack aboard the USS St. Paul C.A. cruiser at San Diego.
He was born Aug. 12, 1921, near Salem, the son of Paul T. and Ruby Foraker Litton. He was married to the former Eleanor Larson. Mr. Litton was a member of the VFW.
Surviving: the wife and a daughter, Florence Elizabeth Litton, of Valley Center, Calif.; his parents, of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Hodson and Mrs. Ellis Shull, of Mt. Pleasant, and a brother, Wendell Litton, of Mt. Pleasant.
Services: Friday, 2 p.m., Weir-Cookes; Lambreth cemetery.
