A. H. Packer died at his home in Ft. Madison at 2:20 A. M. Saturday, April 2, 1010, aged about 55 years. He had been seriously ill with pneumonia about ten days.

A short funeral services was held at the home Monday evening and the remains were taken to the old home at Salem where there was a funeral service followed by interment in the family lot in the Salem cemetery.

Mr. Packer has for six years been principal of the Lincoln school at Ft. Madison. He was a successful teacher and has held good positions in several schools in this section of the state.

Immediate relatives who are left to mourn are the following: - A devoted wife and one daughter, Miss Helen, and three brothers and two sisters, M. L. Packer, Annie E. Packer and Mrs. Nellie M. Collett of Salem, W. A. Packer of Bonaparte, and L. L. Packer of Los Angeles, Cal.
