Lydia Goldsmith

Miss Lydia Goldsmith was born in Canada April 12, 1828 and died in Wayland, Iowa, April 15, 1910 having reached the age of 82 years and 3 days. She had the misfortune of being a cripple since the age of three. She lived with her mother until 1900 when the latter died. Since, she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. S. Gerig.

Four brothers and three sisters survive her death, all being present at the funeral. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her death. Funeral services were held at the Sugar Creek church on Monday forenoon, April 18, conducted by Revs. Graber and Gingerich.
