SALEM YOUNG MAN KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Salem- James Humphrey was killed in an automobile accident at 7 o'clock Saturday night. He was driving on a gravel road and came to a curve and the car rolled over several times. In the car with him was Miss Deloris House of Farmington. She was thrown through the windshield and was cut badly but not hospitalized. Humphrey died later in the hospital.

James Humphrey, 19 years and 9 months old, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Humphrey, who live on a farm northwest of Salem. He had been employed at the I.O.P. plant.

He is survived by four brothers and one sister, Earl, Arlo, and Howard of Salem, and Harold of Madison, (Harold was involved in an accident two weeks ago which demolished his car), and a sister Mrs. Hazel Heckenberg of near Hillsboro and his parents.

The body was brought to the Stevens Home in Salem and funeral services will be held at Round Prairie church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be in Lambirth cemetery.
