"JACOB SCHAAD TAKEN BY DEATH. Death of Wayland Man at Rest Home in Washington - Funeral on Thursday.

WAYLAND, Feb. 19. - - Funeral services for Jacob Schaad, 69, will be held tomorrow afternoon. A short service will be held at the Zehr funeral home at 1:15 and at 2 o'clock at the Eicher church with Rev. D. E. Welty conducting the services. Interment will be in the Eicher cemetery.

Mr. Schaad, a life long resident of Washington county, died yesterday, at the Hammond Rest Home in Washington, where he had been cared for the past three weeks. He had been ill with a heart ailment. He made his home with a brother in the Pleasant Ridge community, southeast of Washington. Jacob Schaad was born June 11, 1871, a son of Jacob and Mary Schaad.

He is survived by a brother, Frank, of the Please Ridge community, and two sisters, Mrs. Chris Earnest and Mrs. Barbara Wiggins both of Wayland. Six nephews will be pall bearers at the funeral service, Harry, Roy and Frank Wiggins, Max and Ralph Bain, Glen, Homer and Chris Earnest."
