Anna Belle Frame

MOUNT PLEASANT - Anna Belle Frame, 86, of Mount Pleasant, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 1992, at Mapleleaf Health Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Jeffrey Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery near Lockridge. Open visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with family visitation from 6:30 to 8 that evening. A memorial has been established to University of Iowa Alzheimer's REsearch.

Mrs. Frame was born Sept. 30, 1905, in Lockridge, the daughter of James and Stacy Teeter Hickenbottom. She graduated from Fairfield High School. On Feb. 23, 1930, she married W. Clarence Frame in Fairfield. He died April 22, 1980. They farmed most of their lives in Round Prairie Township. She was a member of Salem Order of Eastern Star, Mount Pleasant White Shrine and was of the Baptist faith. She was head cook for Jefferson County Hospital in the late 1920s and for the Lockridge school system in the 1950s.

Surviving are two daughters, Norma Ilene Crawford of Mount Plesant(sp), Lois Floress of Bourbonnais, Ill.; four grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren and a sister, Pauline Leu of Cedar Rapids. A sister, Wilma Hickenbottom; two brothers, Charles and Robert, and a great-grandson preceded her in death.
