David E. JERREL

MOUNT PLEASANT - David E. JERREL, 52, of Mount Pleasant, former Fairfield resident, died of a heart condition at his home Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1992.

The funeral service and burial with military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield with the Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Visitation is open at Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where family visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight. A memorial has been established to Henry County Conservation Service.

JERREL was born July 16, 1939, in Fairfield, the son of Fred R. and Violet M. HAGANS JERREL. On June 23, 1961, he married Linda K. GREENFIELD in Fairfield. He was a self-employed construction worker and served in the U.S. Army and Iowa National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion at Mount Pleasant and Moose Lodge at Fairfield.

Surviving are two sons, Terry K. of Mount Pleasant, Jason of Fairfield; two daughters, Bridgette and Tammy JERREL, both of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; a brother Gerald of Iowa City and a sister, Linda BROWN of Keosauqua.
