Hope L. Eland, 76, of Winfield, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday morning at the Henry County Memorial Hospital in Mount Pleasant.
The service was this afternoon at the Winfield United Presbyterian Church with interment at Winfield.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gayle Carter, one son, one daughter and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Eland is the daughter of Mrs. C.O. Carter, who resides at the Parkview Care Center and the sister of Mrs. William Hall and Mrs. Jack Sellars, all of Fairfield.
Eland was engaged in the oil distributing business for over 50 years and retired two years ago.
