Death Takes Mrs. Septer

Mrs. John (Celestial) Septer, 77, 308 N. Van Buren, Mount Pleasant, died at her home early Thursday afternoon, July 12, She is the mother of Marvin Septer of Fairfield and Carl Septer of Lockridge.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Beatty-Jennings Funeral Chapel in Mount Pleasant in charge of Rev. Ardith Anderson with burial in Forest Home cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 7:30 t0 9 p.m. this evening.

Mrs. Septer was born April 26, 1896 south of Mount Pleasant the daughter of Macy and Minnie Hummell Hockett. She was married to John Septer at Fairfield, who survives.

Besides her husband and two sons she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carl Williamson of Mount Pleasant, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; 5 sisters, Mrs. Alice Barr, Mrs. Reba Clawson, Mrs. Mary Wiggins, Mrs. Essie Hunter, all of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Ora Courtney of Ottumwa.
