Thursday, February 9, 1984Dale Diers dies at 74
WAYLAND - Dale Diers, 74, of Wayland, formerly of Brighton, died Wednesday at his home.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Mennonite Church four miles north of Wayland with the Rev. Oliver Yutzy officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland. A memorial has been established to the Bethel Church.
Diers was born Oct. 4, 1909 near Brighton, the son of Albert and Anna Foss Diers. On March 12, 1941 at Wayland, he married Mayme Roth, who survives. Numerous cousins survive also.
Diers farmed near Brighton until moving to Wayland in 1968. He was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church.
