Elva Grace Cummings

Elva Grace Cummings, 80, of Richland died at 6:12 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prairie View United Methodist Church, on Highway 78 at Packwood Road, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffmann Will officiating. Burial will be in Scott Township Cemetery near Winfield.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Prairie View United Methodist Church or to Richland Public Library.

Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Miss Cummings was born Aug. 17, 1920, in Winfield, the daughter of William K. and Maggie and C. Yohe Cummings.

She grew up in the Winfield community and attended Winfield school.

Miss Cummings made her home with her sister, Elizabeth Leisure, for the past 38 years.

She was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Leisure or Richland and Wilma Hudson of Mediapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marie Gibbs, Lucille Davis and an infant; and one infant brother.
