Mae Hudson

WAYLAND - Mae Hudson, 89, died Saturday at Parkview Retirement Home here where she resided since 1971.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery south of Lockridge.

Mrs. Hudson was born March 8, 1890 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Joshua and Cerentha Long Lee. She was married to John Hudson March 4, 1909.

They farmed in Henry County, operated telephone exchanges in Glasgow and Douds, and later lived in Wayland, Libertyville and Salem. He died in 1963.

Surviving are four daughters, Eva Brown, Winfield; Irene Thomas, New Bloomfield, Mo.; Pauline Meyer, Wayland; and Wilma Manning, Ankeny. Also surviving are a brother, Clifford Lee, Burlington; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist Church.
