Ed H. Faris was found dead in bed Saturday morning by his son, Floyd, at his faher's home about four o'clock. Death was caused from heart failure. He had been failing in health for several months.

In his youth, Mr. Faris learned telgraphy under the instruction of his uncle at Burlington. He held his first job at Burlington from whence he was moved to Wayland. While at Wayland, he met and married Miss Ella Gardner on December 24, 1885. Their three childrern were born while he was employed at Wayland.

From Wayland he went to Morrison, Grundy Center, Rockford, and Wellsburg where he worked for the BCR & NRy. Then he and his son Floyd and Ed's father-in-law were engaged in a mercantile venture at Packwood, and later Ed and Floyd moved to Morning Sun where they remained for 10 years in the hardware, furniture, and undertaking business.
