Freda Marr rites Saturday

MOUNT PLEASANT ---- Services for Freda Marr, 76, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Fairfield, who died at 5:21 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry County Health City, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Hugh Shively and Rev. Robert Lesher officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery at Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A memorial has been established to her church.

Mrs. Marr was born Aug. 13, 1910 at Fairfield, the daughter of John and Effie Longerbone Winter. On Oct. 1, 1937, she married Marion Marr at Fairfield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Mount Pleasant.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Richard of New York, N.Y., Samuel of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Ann Lesher of Itasca, Ill., Mary Lou Iverson of River Forest, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Winter of Libertyville and Lawrence winter of West Des Moines and a sister, Juanita Scott of Newcastle, Wyo.
