MOUNT PLEASANT -- Last rites for Everett G. Crane, 71, Mount Pleasant were held today. Crane died Saturday at 7:42 a.m., at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Dr. Robert P. Robinson officiating. Interment was in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. A memorial fund has been established. Memorials may be left at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
Crane was born July 10, 1907 near Lockridge, the son of Ralph and Mary Hootman Crane.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was married to Viola Peterson at Lockridge on Dec. 19, 1938. She survives. He was preceded in death by a brother.
