Francis Gilbert Scarff, 76, died at his home on Jackson street Tuesday evening at 5:40.
A former farm resident, he and Mrs. Scarff moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1929 and had resided in the Jackson street property since that time.
He is survived by his wife, a son, J. Emil Scarff, and a daughter, Ethel Cash, also a brother, Walter Scarff, a sister Mrs. Nora Bishop and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Crane Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Anderson of the Baptist church will officiate.
