Ruby Rauscher

Mrs. Charles (Ruby) Rauscher, 80, 306 N. Lee, Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1985, at 3:55 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Aug. 22, 1905, at Lowell, the daughter of William and Lulu Hester Remick. She was married to Linus Kerfus on Dec. 2, 1925 at Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death. On Sept 16, 1969, at Mt. Pleasant, she married Charles Henry Rauscher who died Sept. 28, 1963.

Mrs. Rauscher was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 7641 and the Women of the Moose.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Loretta) Hite and Mrs. Lee (Doris) Welcher, both of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Hester, Winfield; one sister, Mrs. Vivian Blanch, Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, two brothers, Manis and Frank, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Simmons and Mrs. Maxine Carter, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Krueger will officiate with interment in Forest Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home where visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Thursday.

A memorial has been established for her church.
