Elmer Lee Graber Dies Unexpectedly

Elmer Lee Graber, 62, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at the Henry County Memorial Hospital.

He had undergone surgery last Monday and was apparently recovering when he was stricken suddenly by a heart attack.

The son of Jacob and Barbara (Roth) Graber, he was born March 3, 1900 in Henry county and had been a lifetime resident of the county. For many years he was engaged in farming and the last eight years he had been employed as a male aid at the Henry County Memorial Hospital.

On February 25, 1925, he was married to Olive Scarff, who predeceased him in 1959. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hasen Stipe (Rosalie), a sister, Mrs. Wesley White (Gladys), and a brother, Glen Graber, all of Mt. Pleasant.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at First Methodist church with the Rev. Glen Richard, pastor of the Pleasant View Mennonite church, and Dr. Alvin Maberry, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Home cemetery.

The family will receive friends at R. K. Crane funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9.
