6 October 1995Glenn L. Anderson, 78, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died at 3:45 p.m., October 5, 1995, at Rosewood Care Center, in Moline, IL. Born Oct 3, 1917, in Henry County, he was the son of Lee and Mattie Orndorff Anderson. He married Janice Trimble in 1954. He later married Darlene Lamm, Sept. 1977, who preceded him in death in January of 1994.
He retired in 1978 as a truck drive for Eagle Foods in Milan, IL.
He was a member of Preemption Masonic Lodge #755 of Moline, IL and the Teamsters Union of Rock Island, IL.
Survivors include three daughters, Madeline Swailes and Alma Bennett of Mt. Pleasant, and Glenda Verbeke of Taylor Ridge, IL.,one son Mark Anderson of Matherville, IL. One sister Alma Kerr of Danville, IL, ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Donald, William, and Warren, and two sisters, Hazel Johnson and Luellen Van Gorden.
Friends may call at their convenience beginning at 4pm on Sunday Oct 8 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt Pleasant, where a Masonic service will be held at 7pm followed by visitation until 8:30 pm
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct 9 at 11 am at the Beatty Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Myers officiating
Interment will be at Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial has been established to the Heart Fund.
