Death Of Roy Fitch

Well Known Young Man Passed Away. Was Favorite Among Friends

Wednesday night near the hour of midnight at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Fitch, in the White Oak vicinity, occured the death of their son, Mr. Roy Fitch after a long and patient illness of tuberculosis. Recently he also underwent an operation at the Ottumwa hospital.

He was a young man of exceptional characteristics and was well known in this city where he attended Howe's Academy where he made many warm friends. He was afflicted bodily having to rely upon a crutch but his mind was brilliant and his friendship warm to those who knew him. His untimely death will be regretted by many.
