Margaret Williams

Margaret Williams, 81, of Salem, died 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 1988, at the Henry County Health Center, Mount Pleasant.

Born Aug. 22, 1906, in Rome, she was the daughter of William and Florence Dicus Wehrle. She married Homer T. Williams Sept. 28, 1956, in Nashua. He died April 18, 1982.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, and taught in the Henry County rural schools for more than 25 years.

Surviving are four brothers, Paul Wehrle, Burlington, Frederick Wehrle, Los Angeles, Calif., Everett Wehrle, Centerville, and Dale Wehrle, Buena Park, Calif; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hay, San Clemente, Calif., and Mrs. Elizabeth (Earl) Morrow, Mount Pleasant.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.

The service for Mrs. Williams will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Hugh Shiveley officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Rome.

A memorial has been established for the First Baptist Church.
