John A. Scarff, 84, died Friday morning ay Memorial hospital where he had been a patient the last two weeks.
Mr. Scarff was born July 3, 1868, in the White Oak vicinity in Henry county. He had been a farmer all of his life until his retirement a few years ago.
He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Olive Graber and Mrs. Bessie Watts, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Imo Rausher, West Burlington, and a son, Merle Scarff of near Mt. Pleasant; also by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There are also five sisters, Mrs. Cliff Ensminger and Mrs. George Ensminger, both of Troy, Mrs. Ida Dunagan, West Burlington, Mrs. Florence Beaber, Rome, and Mrs. Cliff Miller, Fairfield.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be at Richwoods cemetery.
