Former Local Woman Killed In Wyoming Mishap

CHEYENNE, Wyo, (UPI) --- Mrs. Ina Combs, Burlington, Iowa, a native of Mt. Pleasant, was killed and her husband and four teen-agers were injured in a headon crash 15 miles west of here Sunday.

Larami County coroner Marvin Schrader said a car driven by 18-year-old John C. Valdez, who was one of the injured, was eastbound and apparently in the wrong lane of traffic when the collision occurred.

Her husband, Earl Combs is a patient at Morial hospital at Cheyenne with both legs broken and is reported in serious condition,

The couple were enroute to Seattle, Wash. to visit relatives.

The daughter of Millie Gholson Morrow and the late Fred Morrow, Ina Grace Combs was born Feb. 26, 1906, at Mt. Pleasant, IA.

On May 26, 1926, she was married at new London to Earl LeRoy Combs. for the past eight years the couple has resided at Burlington where Mr. Combs was maintenance man at the Burlington City Hall.

Mrs. Combs was a member of the First Nazarene church at Burlington.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Dean of Burlington and Fredrick of Ainsworth, who flew to Cheyenne to be with his father; five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Millie Morrow of Lockridge; and the following brothers and sisters; Earl Morrow of Lockridge, John Morrow and Mrs. Ruth Peterson, both of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Vera Cornwell of Burlington, Mrs. Gertrude Shontz of Gold Hill, Ore.,and Mrs. Velda Blackstock of Chariton, Iowa.

Arrangements are pending at the Elliott Chapel in New London.
