LOCKRIDGE - Darrell J. Rich, 60, of Lockridge, died Friday, Sept. 14, at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1924, at Wayland, to Sam and Flossie Sammons Rich. He married Isabell Kessel, Nov. 23, 1944.
He was a retired farmer.
Surviving: His wife; two sons, Leland, Burlington and Larry, Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Wallace, Key West, Fla., Patricia Smyth and Rebecca Prickett, both of Mt. Pleasant, Karen Adkins, Lockridge; two brothers, Kenneth, Wayland and Wayne, Washington, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Roberts, Brighton, Lucille Bain, Washington, Mildred Manning, Wayland; 22 grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, the Rev. Father Barnabus Barker; St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established in his name.
