Mrs. Oscar Pickard

FT. MADISON - Mrs. Oscar B. Plckard 91, of 1306 Ave. F, Ft. Madison, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart hospital, where she had been seriously ill for 11 days.

She was born in Salem on Jan. 14, 1877, a daughter of Eli and Margaret Guenther Brown. She was married on Jan. 1 1895, in Salem, to Oscar Pickard, who died Oct. 26, 1966. She had lived the past 20 years in the Ft. Madison area. She was a member of the Friends church in Salem and of Oak Leaf Chapter 246 of Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving: five daughters, Mrs. Glen Marshall, Burlington, Mrs. Agnes Christner, Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Margaret Gordon, Davenport, Mrs. Hazel Anderson, Denmark, and Mrs. Clarence Willard, Ft. Madison; two sons, Oliver of Davenport and Hiram of Ft. Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Brownlee, Farmington, and Mrs. Mabel Billingsley, Bonaparte; 30 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Clements chapel, the Rev. Gerald Sawyer, South cemetery at Salem.
