Charles Cocherell

Charles M. Cocherell, 73, route 1, Kincaid Trailer Court, Mt. Pleasant, died early Thursday, April 30, 1981, at the Henry County Health Center.

Born Nov. 18, 1907 at Keosauqua, he was the son of Charles B. and Norma Monroe Cocherell. On Nov. 17, 1932 at Kirkwood, Ill., he married Erma F. Sammons, who survives.

Mr. Cocherell had worked for M. L. Dickson at the Temple Theater, had served in the European Theatre in the U.S. Army during World War II, had worked for Briggs Hatchery for seven years and the U.S. Postal Service, Mt. Pleasant for 21 years. He was a member of the Salem Congregational church and the VFW Post 2561, Mt. Pleasant.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are one son, Harold M. of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Leyden of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Holcomb Jr. of Mt. Union; one brother, William R. of Stillwater, Mich.; one sister, Willa of Huntington.
