Daisy Myers

Mrs. W.O. (Daisy) Myers, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1987, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Elvin.

She was born May 22, 1907, White Oak, the daughter of Zion and Esta Piper Messer. On Oct. 1, 1927 at Mt. Pleasant, she married W.O. Myers.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the former Pleasant Hill Methodist Church and the Happy Times Club.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Elvin, New London; two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Lila) Logan, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Charles (Norma) Rourke, Arvada, Colo.; one brother Leo Messer, Rome; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her parents, four brothers, Orville, Sephus, Fred, and Chris, and one sister, Ladica Sammons, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Hugh Shively and Earl C. Humphrey will officiate with interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home where visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday.

A memorial has been established for the Pleasant Hill Cemetery or White Oak Cemetery.
