29 November 1963Injuries Fatal To Roy E. Wells
Roy Ellis Wells, 45, died in Des Moines Wednesday, November 27 at 7 p.m., as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born November 15, 1918 in Morning Sun, the son of Delbert E. and Myrtle (Smith) Wells.
On April 2, 1955, he was married to Phyllis White in Burlington. She survives as do his parents.
Also surviving are the following children, Richard L. Wells, 4 years old, Sherri Renee Wells, 11 months old, at home in Des Moines, Mrs. Robert (Twila) Wagner of Muscatine, Mrs. Gene (Linda) Reed of Columbus Junction; Patti Ann Wells of Conesville.
One daughter is deceased.
He is also survived by four grandchildren; one brother, Bert Wells of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Neil (Thelma) Stout of Wapello and Mrs. Russell (Helen) Davison of Wayland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Grove Church. The Rev. Lewis Eckols of Des Moines will officiate.
Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
The body is at the Weir-Cookes Funeral Home where friends may call as they desire.
