Ruby Edith Adams

Ruby Edith Adams, 81, Mapleleaf Healthcare Center, formerly of Olds, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 1992, at 11:25 a.m. at Henry County Health Center.

She was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Rome, the daughter of Josey and Alice Collins Messer. On Dec. 30, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, she married Homer Lester Adams, who died Nov. 1, 1978

She was a member of the Olds United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Charlotte) Mitchell, Mt. Pleasant; One son, Donald Adams, Morning Sun; two brothers, Max Messer Farmington, and Ralph Messer, Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Michael; one grandson; three brothers, Allan, Noel, and Basil Messer; and three sisters, Ethel Messer, Lottie Sammons and Dorothy Palliser.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at Olds United Church of Christ, with Rev. "Richard Banszhaf and Ralph Draper officiating. Interment will be in North Wayne Township Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home where visitation will begin after 9 a.m. that day. A memorial has been established to the United Church of Christ.
