October 20, 1922 - August 6, 2004

Eva May JUDD, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

The funeral service was at 10:30 today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial was in Plesant Grove Cemetery near Danville. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mrs. JUDD was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Wiley and Zeta Mae HUMBERT. Upon the death of her parents, she was adopted at a young age by Clyde and Lola BUNKER of Salem. She graduated from Salem School and married LaVerne JUDD at the Salem Congregational Church Jan. 5, 1947. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. She retired from the Henry County Health Center in 1987 where she was employed for many years. Her passions were cats, flowers and family.

Survivors include her husband; six children, Maxine and her husband Wayne NICHOLS and Tom JUDD, all of West Burlington, Nancy LANDES, Bill and his wife Shirley JUDD and Robert JUDD, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Martha MESSER of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
