Phyllis M. BERRIE, 55, a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, died there Tuesday, April 16, 1996, following complications of Alzheimer's disease. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Turner Chapel West in Cedar Rapids.
Born April 10, 1941, in Davenport, she was the daughter of Earl R. BERRIE and Viola M. SHRADER BERRIE.
She graduated from Salem High School, attended Iowa Wesleyan College and graduated from Detroit Bible College in Detriot, Mich.
She was a teacher at International Baptist Christian School in Brooklyn, N.Y., for 17 years. She was a member of International Baptist Church, Brooklyn.
Survivors include two sisters, Carol (Mrs. Dennis) BURKY of Marion and Sharon BERRIE of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Ronald BERRIE, and six nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
