Francine E. CALHOUN, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at Park Place in Mt. Pleasant.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. t, at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today, Dec. 4, at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

Francine was born on March 21, 1933, in Osceola, Iowa the daughter of Fred & Edna MCCARL DUNN. She married Dale BARNETT and later married John E. CALHOUN on Oct. 8, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nev.

She worked for 30 years as a bartender in New London and Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, TV and her family.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Robin SNIDER of Nevada; two sons, Mike BARNETT of Palmyra, Tenn. and Tom BARNETT of Clarksville, Tenn.; two step-daughters: Debbie CASSON of Cottonwood, Ariz. and Monica KEMP of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; one brother, Miles GREEN of Panhandle, Tex.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson, one brother and two sisters.
