Edman Wayne Calhoun

Edman Wayne CALHOUN, 71, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Lockeridge, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. in the Henry County Health Center.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 27, at Beatty Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 26, at the Beatty Funeral Home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice and the Cottonwood Cemetery.

Mr. CALHOUN was born August 9, 1928, at Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Victor CALHOUN, Sr., and Mary MANNING CALHOUN.

He married Naoma Herbert on January 18, 1947, in Henry County.

CALHOUN was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife Naoma, sons Denny Wayne of O'Fallon, Missouri, Ronald Dwight of Mt. Pleasant, Randall Wayne of Lockridge, and Eddy Dean of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Victor CALHOUN, Jr., and sister Martha WHALEY, both of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
