Funeral services for Dennis A. Hinrichs, age 52, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, were held Wednesday, August 7, 1996 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. Interment was in the Forest Home Cemetery.

Dennis A. Hinrichs, son of James V. and Leona (Vandersoep) Livison Hinrichs, was born September 9, 1943 at Sheldon, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Charlene A. Adam on August 5, 1967 at Postville, Iowa in Allamakee County. They moved to Mt Pleasant in 1971 where he was the librarian at the Mt. Pleasant Senior High School for 25 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lions Club, Henry County Library Association, National Education Association, and Iowa Media Education Association. Before moving to Mt. Pleasant, he was a librarian at Clinton, Iowa.

Dennis A. Hinrichs died Sunday, August 4, 1996 at the Henry County Health Center. He was preceded in death by his father and half-brother.

Dennis is survived by his wife Charlene, his mother, Leona Hinrichs, his two sons, Shawn Hinrichs of Chicago, Illinois and Allen Hinrichs of Rodgers, Arkansas; 3 brothers, James V. Hinrichs of Iowa City, Iowa, Robert L. Hinrichs of Palatine, Illinois and Timothy D. Hinrichs of Clementon, New Jersey.
