Mrs. Laura A. Schwartz, 90, Winfield, died Sunday, January 19, 1986 at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center.
The daughter of George and Elizabeth (May) Craig. she was born July 29, 1895 at Bonaparte, Iowa.
On October 4, 1917, she married Charles C. Schwartz, who died February 1, 1951.
Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield; the V.F. W. and the American Legion Auxilary and the 60 plus Club.
Survivors include; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Sears, Winfield; one son, Walter Schwartz, Winfield; five granddaughters; 12 great grandchildren, and one great great dranddaughter; one brother Roy Craig, Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 21, 1986, 10:30 A.M. from the First Presbyterian Church, Winfield, with the Rev. James Edwards officiating. Music was by Mary Crawford, Organist and Pauline Payne, soloist.
Casket bearers were Melvin Allison, Marvin Timmerman, Lyle Owens, Everett Bunker, Terry Owens and Larry Sheeley. Interment was in the Winfield Scott Township Cemetery.
A memorial to the Sunrise Terrace Care Center has been establised at the McKasson Honts Funeral Home, Winfield.
