Frank Bauhard Dies Today

Frank Bauhard, 87, died at Memorial Hospital at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. He was the son of Ambroze (sic. Ambrose) and Eliza Ann (Whitson) Bauhard. He was born June 2, 1867, near Whitestown, Ind.

He came to Iowa when he was thirteen years old and spent his lifetime in farming until his retirement.

For the past seven years, he had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Fricke, 707 East Washington St. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fricke of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Leta Sward of Des Moines. Also surviving are three grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, at the Crane Funeral Home. Rev. E. A. Mathews will officiate. Interment will be at South Prairie cemetery near South English, Iowa, about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Note: The full given name is also believed to be Perry Franklin Bauhard; he evidently went by "Frank" in adult life.

His wife was Margaret A. Bauhard. She died on April 23, 1932.

Daughter Goldie Bauhard is the "Mrs. Henry Fricke" mentioned in the obituary. Daughter Allta (sic. sp?) Bauhard is evidently the "Mrs. Leta Sward" mentioned in the obituary.
