Mrs. Effie Dunn
MT. PLEASANT--Mrs. Effie Dunn, 81, died in Memorial hospital Friday. She had lived on a farm near Lowell for 61 years before moving into Mt. Pleasant last February.
A native of Henry county, Mrs. Dunn was born in Jackson township on Sept. 11, 1879, the daughter of David R. and Eliza Nuss Graham. She was married to John A. Dunn at Lowell on Feb. 28, 1900. Dunn died in 1937.
Mrs. Dunn was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist church and was an honorary member of the Good Samaritan society of Pleasant Hill.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters: George Dunn, Pilot Grove; Richard Dunn, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. D. L. Allen, Cedar Rapids, and Vale Dunn and Mrs. Caroline Bigler, both of Mt. Pleasant.
Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Four brothers and four sisters died previously.
Last rites will be conducted at the Weir-Cookes funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
